The Laboratory of Rheology and Processing is a joint research unit (UMR5520) involving the CNRS (Engineering Institute, sections 10, 9 and 11), Grenoble Alpes University, the Physics, Engineering, Materials (PEM) research cluster, and Grenoble INP - UGA.

Rheometry Platform

We host a Rheometry Platform open to external users and service provision in rheometry. It enables the characterization of the rheological properties of fluid and pasty materials at all scales and under various types of mechanical stress.

La compréhension fine du séchage de gouttes colloïdales constitue un verrou majeur pour la fabrication fiable de dispositifs électroniques imprimés à haute résolution. Dans un article récemment publié dans le Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, des chercheurs du LRP et du LGP2 apportent un éclairage mécanistique sur les mécanismes de suppression de l’effet "coffee-ring" dans des gouttes picolitrées d’encres conductrices à base de nanoparticules d’argent.

When intestinal villi generate their own fluid flows

As part of the ANR TransportGut project, which aims to understand how the movements and structure of the digestive tract influence the transport of nutrients and particles, work carried out at the Laboratoire Rhéologie et Procédés, TIMC, and the Laboratoire Jean Perrin has focused on what happens very close to the intestinal mucosa, where fine elongated microstructures rise: the villi.
