We are pleased to announce that Dr. Kaili Xie has joined the Laboratoire Rhéologie et Procédés (LRP) as a CNRS researcher as of February 2026.

He obtained his PhD in Mechanics and Physics of Fluids from École Centrale Méditerranée in 2019. He then pursued postdoctoral research within a joint team between LOMA and LCPO at Université de Bordeaux, working with Prof. H. Kellay and Prof. G. Hadziioannou.

Before joining LRP, he was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship, which he carried out in the Soft Matter Group at the Institute of Physics, University of Amsterdam, with Prof. Daniel Bonn.
His research focuses on droplet dynamics, polymers, and surfactant-laden interfaces in soft matter physics and engineering.

At LRP, Kaili will contribute to research on the physics and transport in complex, porous, biogel-like materials. His work aims to apply fundamental chemical and physical principles to develop solutions to long-standing health-related challenges.

We are delighted to welcome Kaili Xie and look forward to the scientific contributions and collaborations that will emerge from his arrival.
