Researchers from LRP and LCMCP (Sorbonne Université, CNRS) have demonstrated the additive-free 3D printing of microbial biosurfactant-based hydrogels by finely tuning their rheological properties. This strategy enables the fabrication of flexible scaffolds and paves the way for a pH-responsive platform for the development of 4D materials.
These hydrogels show strong potential as fugitive inks for biofabrication and tissue engineering applications.
