The Laboratory of Rheology and Processes (LRP) presented a broad overview of the diversity of its research on mucus and mucus rheology at the 2nd edition of the TransMucus Network Symposium, held in Nice on 27–28 November.

Congratulations to Kawthar Shaalan, who received an award for her oral presentation on the contribution of disulfide bonds to the elasticity of pulmonary mucus.

Our work on the rheological characterization of pulmonary mucus and sputum, at both macroscopic and microscopic scales, was highlighted through several oral and poster presentations by Lydia Esteban Enjuto (Rheonova), Antoine Raffournier (PhD fellow, LRP) and François Caton (CNRS researcher, LRP).

The PhD work of Dácil I. Yánez Martín on particle adhesion by intestinal mucus and the role of intestinal motility was also presented in a poster.
