We apply our expertise in rheology and material processing to health sciences, aiming to understand biological processes and develop innovative medical solutions. This theme is organized around two major axes: the study of flows and rheology of biological fluids and tissue engineering.
The first axis addresses a variety of challenges, ranging from blood coagulation to intestinal and pulmonary flows, using advanced experimental and numerical approaches.
The second axis focuses on designing innovative functional biomaterials for tissue reconstruction and the treatment of pathologies such as osteoarthritis.
Our work, conducted in collaboration with medical institutions and international laboratories, follows an interdisciplinary approach at the interface of mechanics, biology, and medicine, aiming to achieve significant advances in health sciences.
